Organic whole hemp seeds

French organic seeds in a 500g pack

Hemp was already used over 2000 years ago in China for the strength of its fibers as well as for its exceptional medicinal properties. Our current society has forgotten the importance of hemp in our history, but it was considered a strategic resource from the Middle Ages until the 19th century.
It is a plant with multiple uses: paper, textiles, rope, insulation, mulch... Hemp paper was even the very first medium for the printed Bible! Not to mention the numerous applications of the hemp seed for food.

Our organic hemp seeds can be used as they are, sprinkled on your raw dishes, incorporated into a juice or smoothie, or to prepare homemade plant-based milk. Preferably consume them without cooking to preserve their enzymatic content and essential fatty acids.

🟤 UDirect uses in raw food:

- Salads and raw vegetables - a tablespoon sprinkled at the time of serving, for a protein boost without any cooking.
- Green juices and smoothies - to incorporate directly into the blender with your leafy greens, cucumber, celery, or spirulina. The seeds enrich the drink with complete proteins and essential fatty acids.
- Vegetable bowls and tartares - scattered on the surface for texture and nutritional density.
- Cold soups and gazpachos - added at the time of serving, cold, to preserve the integrity of their components.
- Raw dehydrated breads and crackers - incorporated into the dough before passing through the dehydrator. The nutty flavor develops slowly at low temperature.
- Plant-based yogurts and lacto-fermented preparations - a tablespoon on a plant-based yogurt, with fresh fruits.

Whole seeds (with shell) are crunchier than shelled seeds. For people with sensitive digestion, start with half a teaspoon and gradually increase.

Hemp is a "super plant." It is capable of covering the four vital needs of humanity: food, shelter, clothing, and medicine. Additionally, it is ecologically viable: it requires very little water, no chemical inputs, helps structure the soil, cleans weeds, and decontaminates the land. Hemp captures a large amount of CO2 in its straw, making it a good ally in reducing greenhouse gases, which are responsible for climate change.
In short, it is a plant that deserves to be known and recognized! This is what makes us want to support the cultivation of hemp and share its benefits with you on our scale.

Benefits of hemp seeds

  • Polyunsaturated fatty acids
Source of omega 3 and 6. These essential fatty acids are not produced by the body and therefore must be obtained through diet. They are essential for the proper functioning of our brain, retina, and entire nervous system. Often, we consume much more omega 6 and not enough omega 3. The excellent ratio of hemp seeds can help balance this level.
  • Source of protein
You can find twice as much in a portion of seeds than in an egg! The two main proteins in hemp seeds are edestin and albumin. These two high-quality storage proteins are easily digested and contain significant amounts of all essential amino acids (which is not the case with most plant proteins). A true alternative for vegetarians or vegans.
  • Rich in fiber
The whole hemp seed retains its shell, which is the part richest in dietary fiber, although the seed itself also contains soluble and insoluble fibers. This richness in fiber promotes satiety and limits blood sugar spikes by delaying glucose absorption. It also allows for better intestinal transit and thus contributes to the good health of the digestive system.

  • Diversity of vitamins & minerals
Rich in vitamins B1, B6, B9 & a source of vitamin E. Rich in Iron, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Potassium.
A true nutritional gem! This antioxidant cocktail fights against stress, fatigue, and hypertension, among other things. Its high potassium content makes it an alkalizing food.

The Hemps of the Atlantic

🟤 A few words from our French producer "Les Chanvres de l’Atlantique" located in the Southwest of France:

We use regenerative farming techniques for the benefit of our planet, our people, and our society. Innovation involves learning to work with the intelligence of nature, to collaborate with it, rather than imposing on it. When we do this, we fully reap the benefits.
Demonstrating that hemp is a solution to global challenges, climate change, and social inequality is a priority for us.
Building a healthy and sustainable agricultural sector is undoubtedly our biggest challenge in this project.

We are building the agriculture of the new world today. Our tools are:

• The intelligence of nature, if we take the time to observe, all the knowledge is there before our eyes.

• The intelligence of humans, centered and connected to nature, will lead to appropriate solutions emerging.

• A holistic approach! From the emotional state of the farmer to plant associations or cationic exchanges between bedrock and surface soil.

• Soil health technicians. As good descendants of human body health technicians, we have assembled a team of researchers working both on energy levels and on the matter itself.

• Innovative practices, Agroforestry, plant association, direct seeding...

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between whole hemp seeds and hulled hemp seeds ?

Whole seeds retain their hull, the main source of 30.6 g of fiber/100g. They are crunchier and slightly more rustic. Hulled seeds (hemp hearts) are softer, easier to digest, and blend better in liquid preparations. For homemade plant-based milk, filtering is recommended with whole seeds to achieve a smoother result. Both versions provide complete proteins and a comparable fatty acid profile.

Can hemp seeds be cooked ?

At low temperatures (150–180 °C), yes — integrated into bread or a cracker. However, avoid prolonged high temperatures: unsaturated fatty acids are sensitive to intense heat and can oxidize. For hot preparations, it is ideal to add the raw seeds at the time of serving.

How many hemp seeds to consume per day ?

1 to 3 tablespoons (15 to 30 g) per day is a usual intake as part of a varied and balanced diet. For those who are new to it, start with half a teaspoon and gradually increase according to digestive comfort.

Does homemade hemp milk keep for a long time ?

3 to 4 days in the refrigerator in an airtight jar. The milk naturally separates when at rest — a brief shake is enough to put it back in suspension. Prepare it in small quantities to consume it fresh, without preservatives or stabilizers.

Are these seeds suitable for vegans and gluten-free individuals ?

Yes. Hemp seeds are naturally gluten-free and suitable for vegetarian, vegan, raw, and ketogenic diets. They are a complete protein source, particularly useful in a plant-based diet.
