    Organic sprouted whole buckwheat seeds

Do you like buckwheat? But you're not really sure how to incorporate it into your everyday cooking? Are you looking for a way to consume it without cooking? Or maybe you don't have the time to sprout it yourself?

We offer you 500g bags of activated buckwheat soaked in very pure and energized water, then dehydrated at 42°C.

You get small sprouted grains that are still crunchy, perfect for adding to everything - both sweet and savory !

    🌱 Activation ?

It is the process of soaking dried fruits or seeds, which will awaken all the dormant enzymatic activity to start their germination and thus make the vitamins and minerals they contain bioavailable. Activation also helps eliminate phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors they contain: these compounds can hinder digestion and reduce the absorption of trace elements by our digestive system.
Home-activated seeds, however, can only be stored in the refrigerator for a few days. Therefore, we offer low-temperature dehydrated activated buckwheat seeds: the combination of the power of activation, optimal preservation, and a crunchy texture.

Activated buckwheat is therefore an awakened seed, on its way to germination, which makes all its compounds available and multiplies all its benefits for our body.

    - the stored lipids are broken down into easily assimilable fatty acids without effort
    - the stored proteins are broken down into amino acids that are immediately bioavailable
    - the complex sugars in reserve are broken down into simple sugars that are easy to assimilate

    🌱 Focus on buckwheat

Buckwheat (or "black wheat") is not a cereal! It is the seed of a flowering plant, from the sorrel family. Originally from Asia, it has been used for millennia in different regions of the world, in various forms: buckwheat pancakes in Brittany, Soba noodles in Japan, kasha in Russia, and even beer in China.
It is a plant whose cultivation is beneficial for our soils; in organic farming, it is used to eliminate weeds and to enrich the soil with phosphate, one of the three essential elements for plant health.

Naturally gluten-free and free from peanuts, it offers an interesting solution for people with allergies or intolerances.

Process: 6-hour bath in osmotized and energized water, then dehydrated for 20 hours at 42°C.

    🌱 Benefits of activation:

Enzyme inhibitors are compounds that prevent the seed from developing or germinating until external conditions are ideal for its growth. This is what allows you to store your nuts, beans, and various seeds for several months or even years. However, when consumed, they also have an effect in our stomach: they block certain enzymatic functions.

We are all born with a certain amount of enzymes. As we age, the quantity of enzymes in our bodies decreases, which reduces our digestive power. The ideal solution is to address this issue by regularly providing our bodies with new enzymes that will aid in digestion, working in harmony with all the other components involved in the digestive process. By soaking nuts and seeds to consume them raw, you maintain your enzymatic capital !

Phytic acid binds with important minerals such as calcium, zinc, magnesium, iron, and copper, which neutralizes their absorption. It would also limit the bioavailability of proteins and make digestion difficult. Therefore, it is important to eliminate it through soaking so that our digestive system can better absorb these compounds essential to our well-being.

🌱 The main benefits of buckwheat:

Very high-quality proteins Buckwheat contains most of the essential amino acids in good proportion. It is also richer in arginine, aspartic acid, and lysine, with levels nearly three times higher than those of other cereals. (study here). Proteins account for 10% to 12% of its dry weight, placing it just above wheat.

    • Naturally gluten-free

Antioxidant : it contains a large number of phenolic compounds, notably caffeic acid, ferulic acid, hydroxybenzoic acid, and coumaric acid. They play a role in the prevention of cancers and certain cardiovascular diseases. It also contains six flavonoids: rutin, orientin, vitexin, quercetin, isovitexin, and isoorientin. (study here). Rutin, which is predominant in buckwheat seeds, is known for its anti-inflammatory effects and could alleviate the symptoms of venous insufficiency (including varicose veins and heavy legs).

Regulates blood sugar : Buckwheat contains a portion of resistant starch, meaning it is not digested by the intestine and is therefore fermented in the large intestine. It contributes to colon health and could have beneficial effects on glucose metabolism. (Source). This is also what gives it a low glycemic index.
It contains various phytochemical compounds (such as various polyphenols and inositol), which have been shown to have a positive effect on glucose or insulin metabolism in animal models.

Regulation of ccholesterol : Rich in fiber, particularly insoluble fiber, consuming buckwheat helps regulate transit time in the small intestine. A diet containing a large portion of this type of fiber is known to lower blood levels of total cholesterol and glucose. Ideal for countering diabetes or reducing cardiovascular risk factors.

    • Buckwheat is a source of nutrients of all kinds: copper, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, zinc, vitamins B1, B3, B9 ... It actively contributes to the proper functioning of our body's mechanisms.
    Nervous system, intestinal transit, ant
Fatigue, bone density, red blood cell production... buckwheat is a little gem for our body !

Based in Brittany, in Ploemeur, Armand puts all his energy into producing super healthy and super tasty raw foods. He tries to source his ingredients from Brittany (such as seaweed, hemp, or spirulina) and works with local partners for products that come from afar. It is therefore natural that an exclusive collaboration was established with Biovie. Armand explains his journey to you:

"I became interested in living foods early in my life, in my twenties, after reading the book: "Biogenic Life" by Edmond Szekely."
At that time, I was practicing yoga intensively and aspired to understand the principles of a harmonious diet. I was passionate about the activation and germination of seeds.

After several Ayurvedic stays in South India, I became particularly interested in the body's potential for regeneration. Following health issues experienced by members of my family, I sought solutions to help them reform their diet. From this experience came the motivation to create raw food compositions to facilitate the transition to a living diet; a cornerstone for a return to health.

There are multiple ways to benefit from good nutritional intake. I wanted to gather the main recommendations and simplify their use through preparations concentrated in nutrients and active ingredients. I create blends that allow for the simple preparation of instant mixes to be combined with raw fruits and vegetables, facilitating the transition to a living diet.

My 7 years of experience as a restaurateur have allowed me to acquire the skills to create a food production laboratory. I develop my recipes with precision, and the pursuit of taste and texture is obviously at the very heart of my approach.

I regularly host workshops in my laboratory on plant-based milks, sprouted seeds, and lacto-fermentation.

It is recommended to stop by his place if you are near Plœmeur!
