🍡 Frequently Asked Questions about Our Organic Sweet Grocery:
➡️ What differentiates Biovie's sweet grocery from a classic organic grocery store?
All products in this category are raw or dehydrated at less than 42°C, without added sugar and without preservatives. While a classic organic grocery store offers biscuits baked at high temperatures, caramelized granolas, or pasteurized jams, Biovie focuses on living food: enzymes, thermolabile vitamins, and phytonutrients remain intact from the producer to your plate.
➡️ Are the products really without added sugar?
Yes. No sucrose, glucose syrup, honey, or synthetic sweeteners are added during manufacturing. The natural sweetness comes exclusively from dried fruits - Medjool dates, raisins, apricots - and tiger nuts, which release their sugar slowly thanks to their fibers, limiting glycemic spikes.
> Only our crunchy raw cacao & durian snack contains coconut sugar as a binder (10 g per 100 g).
> Our raw cacao muesli is certified without added sugar.
➡️ Can you make homemade energy balls with Biovie ingredients?
Absolutely. Homemade organic energy balls are one of the most accessible preparations of living food. You mix pitted dates, nuts, and a superfood of your choice (raw cacao, pollen, ginger), form balls by hand, and refrigerate for two hours. No cooking required. Our anti-stress energy balls recipe with hemp oil is one of the most viewed on the blog. And for those short on time, our packs of 20 ready-to-use energy balls are a practical alternative - same principle, same quality.
➡️ Are the raw mueslis gluten-free?
Yes. Our three mueslis - cacao, white mulberries & rosehip, nature are based on activated buckwheat (sprouted then dehydrated at 42°C), tiger nuts, and hemp, all gluten-free. They are made by Croc’enVie in Brittany, in a dedicated workshop, certified by Ecocert, without added sugar.

➡️ Are your honeys organic? Where do they come from exactly?
Our honeys (orange blossom and avocado) come from Andalusia (Spain), selected by the supplier Naturmel. They are not officially certified organic. Organic certification for honey involves a guaranteed foraging radius of several kilometers around the hives without chemically treated crops, which is extremely difficult to certify in a diversified agricultural area. However, these honeys come from avocado fields and orange groves cultivated in organic agriculture, without chemical treatment of the bees, raw and unpasteurized, from the hive directly to the jar.
> Our avocado honey received the 1st prize at the 2022 National Congress of Spanish Beekeepers.
