Tiger nut butter from organic and fair-trade farming in partnership with Tigernuts

We are very happy to offer you, as a unique exclusive and in partnership with the company Tigernuts, a tiger nut butter, certified organic, gluten-free, vegan and allergen-free. With no additives or preservatives, it is a complete, natural alternative to traditional nut butters.
With no dominant flavour, it adapts easily to different types of preparations and dietary preferences, which makes it ideal for those looking for allergen-free alternatives without compromising on taste.

Naturally gluten-free and peanut-free.

🟤 This tiger nut butter keeps the taste of the tiger nut, this thousand-year-old tuber also known as "chufa" and appreciated for centuries for its taste and culinary qualities. It is the fruit of the perennial rhizomatous herbaceous plant called "Chufa" (Cyperus esculentus). People were already crazy about it in Ancient Egypt! Much appreciated in sub-Saharan Africa and Spain, its inimitable, naturally sweet taste is reminiscent of hazelnut or almond.

Like our other products, the tiger nuts used come from Nigerien fair trade in partnership with Tigernuts.

Thanks to its ultra-fine texture, with particles of less than 120 microns, this tiger nut cream offers an unprecedented sensory experience. With no added sugars (it contains naturally occurring sugars) and unpasteurised, this tiger nut butter nevertheless keeps very well.

🟤 Tiger nut butter, with its mild, neutral flavour and its unique, delicious taste, is ideal for a variety of uses: from making bars, granolas and energy balls to creating plant-based creams.

It can also be used like a plant milk: to prepare a tiger nut drink with generous body and a smooth texture, it is recommended to use one part butter to four parts water. This mixture produces a smooth drink thanks to the natural starch in the cream, which acts as a natural thickener and enhances the sensory experience with every sip!

- Tiger nut offers a gourmet alternative for gluten-free diets, grain-free or nut-free diets, with a real natural sweet taste that takes the edge off hunger.

- Single ingredient: 100% organic tiger nut (Cyperus esculentus). Nutritional values per 100 g: 566 kcal / 2351 kJ, fat 39.7 g (of which saturates 8.2 g), carbohydrate 42.1 g (of which sugars 19.4 g), protein 3.8 g, salt 0.065 g (see the table in the Practical info tab).

- As this butter is not pasteurised, it keeps the enzymes naturally present in tiger nuts (amylase, lipase, catalase).

As a French exclusive, Biovie has chosen to partner with the company Tigernuts Traders, which has been importing fair-trade tiger nuts from Niger for 20 years. The company Tiger Nuts is committed to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices. Their tiger nuts are grown and harvested with care, guaranteeing minimal impact on the environment and maximum benefit for local communities.

🌾 Here is a video and interview with the director of the company TIGERNUTS, whom we had the pleasure of meeting on site in Spain:

Best before: 08/09/2027

- Best before :

- Ingredients : 100% organic tiger nut

- Packaging : 450 g glass jar

- Storage : Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, avoiding any prolonged exposure.

After opening, it is recommended to consume the spread within a short time (ideally within 2 months of opening, provided the jar is properly resealed and kept in a cool, dry place). In addition, once opened, preferably keep the jar in the fridge to extend the shelf life of the butter and preserve the enzymes it contains.

Shake the product before each use. If stored for a long period, the oil and the cream may separate. In that case, stir the product thoroughly to restore a homogeneous consistency.
