• Our organic honey beekeepers are constantly subjected to regular checks and audits to ensure their compliance with organic standards.

The standards for organic honey can vary slightly from one country to another. However, there are some general standards commonly certified for organic honey, here are some of them:

Organic origin of flowers : Organic honey is produced from flowers that have been foraged by bees not exposed to synthetic chemicals. Bees must feed on flowers grown using organic methods. The hives should also be located more than 3 km away from polluted areas (highways, large cities, industrial zones, etc.).

Absence of chemical treatments : Organic beekeepers must refrain from using chemical treatments to combat parasites or bee diseases. Alternative methods can be used, such as the use of essential oils to maintain the health of bee colonies.

Respect for good apiculture practices : Organic beekeepers must follow specific apiculture practices to preserve the health of bees and their habitats.

Official certification : Organic honey must be certified by accredited certification bodies, such as the organic label of the European Union (AB) or the Organic label (USDA) in the United States. These certifications ensure that the honey has been produced according to established organic standards and has undergone regular controls and audits.
