The questions we get asked most often, and our straight answers.
🌿 Your questions about our organic oils:
➡️ What is the difference between a cold-pressed oil and a refined oil?
Cold extraction is purely mechanical - no solvent, no excessive heating - which preserves the integrity of essential fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants. A refined oil undergoes industrial deodorization and bleaching at high temperatures: degraded nutritional value, possible trans fats. All our oils are virgin, first cold-pressed, certified organic, and hexane-free.

➡️ What is the difference between camelina oil and flaxseed oil?
Both are rich in omega-3 (ALA), but their practical profile really differs. Flaxseed oil contains 50 to 60% ALA - the highest plant concentration - but oxidizes quickly and requires refrigeration. Camelina oil contains 33 to 40% ALA with a high vitamin E content, making it much more stable and easier to store. For daily use without constraints, choose camelina. To maximize occasional intake, choose flaxseed. Neither should be heated.

➡️ Can flaxseed oil or hemp oil be heated?
No - neither of them. Flaxseed oil is very sensitive to heat, which denatures its omega-3s. Hemp oil should also not be heated to high temperatures. Only use in cold dressings, vinaigrettes, as a dish finishing touch, or in smoothies. Flaxseed oil should be stored in the refrigerator after opening.
💛 Your questions about our organic spices:
➡️ How to properly absorb turmeric? Is black pepper really necessary?
Yes - without black pepper, curcumin is absorbed at less than 1% into the bloodstream. Piperine increases its absorption by 20 times, according to the study by Shoba et al. (1998, Planta Medica). A fat is also essential: curcumin is fat-soluble. The combination of turmeric + pepper + fat is the most documented.

➡️ How to choose the best raw organic turmeric powder?

Raw, organic, certified pesticide-free.

➡️ What are the benefits of dried ginger?
The EMA recognizes ginger (Zingiber officinale) for its support of digestion and antiemetic properties. Infuse for 10 to 15 minutes in hot water, or grind just before use in dishes. Our ginger is certified organic - can be infused with the skin, without pesticide risk.

➡️ Is Ceylon cinnamon different from commercial cinnamon?
Yes, significantly. Supermarket cinnamon is almost always Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia), containing high levels of coumarin - potentially hepatotoxic in high doses (EFSA). Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum) is naturally very low in it: safe for daily consumption.
