🥑 Bacon variety avocados. Winter variety with an oval shape, green, thin, and smooth skin that remains green even when ripe: to know if it's ready, it should slightly yield under finger pressure. Its pale yellow flesh is soft and light, less fatty than the Hass, making it an ideal avocado for salads, toasts, and everyday guacamoles.
Harvested at physiological maturity by our partner Iulian located on the Spanish Tropical Coast.
Store at room temperature. Once ripe, you can keep them for up to 15 days in the fridge.

We can't get more direct from this producer in Spain in Granada! Iulian Pescara took over the family business in 2018. Two generations have succeeded in cultivating various fields of mangoes, cherimoyas and other local and seasonal exotic fruits, all of excellent quality and enhanced by the southern Spanish sun. 
The packaging of avocados is 5 kilos.
The shipment is made directly from Malaga, at the producer's, by GLS. Once your package is shipped, delivery to your home takes 2/3 business days (non-contractual).

How to know if a Bacon avocado is ripe?
A Bacon avocado is ready to eat when it slightly yields under finger pressure. Its green and smooth skin remains green even when ripe: the color does not inform you, only the touch matters. Specifically, gently press the fruit in the palm of your hand, without pressing it with your thumb.
What is the difference between Bacon avocado and Hass avocado?
The Bacon avocado is a winter variety with an oval shape, green, thin, and smooth skin, with pale yellow, soft, and light flesh. This flesh is less fatty than that of the Hass. Frankly, this makes it an ideal avocado for salads, toasts, and everyday guacamoles.
How long should you wait after delivery before eating the avocados?
Wait a few days after receipt. To withstand transport, the avocados are harvested at physiological maturity and then delivered still firm. Leave them at room temperature and test them by touch each day.
How to store Bacon avocados?
Keep them at room temperature as long as they are firm. Once ripe, you can keep them for up to 15 days in the refrigerator.
How to ripen an avocado faster?
A classic trick is to place the avocado in a paper bag with a ripe banana or apple, at room temperature. These fruits release ethylene, a gas that accelerates ripening. Check the fruit's softness daily.

Avocados are shipped directly from the producer, in Malaga, by GLS. Once the package is shipped, home delivery takes 2 to 3 business days (non-contractual) and you receive a GLS email with a tracking link. There are no relay points and no delivery in Switzerland.
Are shipping costs included if I order other products as well?
For a box of fruits alone, shipping is included. If you add other products from the store, the usual delivery fees apply to these products and your order arrives in 2 separate packages: one from Marseille, one from Malaga.
