🌿 Its virtues:

• Its main advantage lies in its perfect balance between omega-3 and omega-6. Most of the vegetable fats we consume provide us with too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3. This imbalance creates a favorable environment for all kinds of inflammations and cardiovascular problems.

The fatty acid composition of hemp oil is at the ideal balance for the human body, with a ratio of 2 to 3 omega-6 to 1 omega-3.

• The vitamin E it contains helps strengthen the normal functioning of our cardiovascular and cognitive systems. This vitamin prevents cerebral cellular degeneration.

• Hemp oil is also known for its positive effect on emotional balance and helps to counteract the harmful effects of stress and anxiety.

• When applied to the skin, it is an ally for problematic skin, particularly in countering eczema. It acts as an ideal barrier against free radicals and thus protects mature skin from the appearance of wrinkles.

• Its light texture does not leave a greasy film on the skin; try it as a massage oil (with essential oils) for example, and enjoy its nourishing, firming, and regenerating effects.

• On the hair side, it is also pleasant to use. As a mask or in homemade shampoo, hemp oil nourishes the hair fiber, adds shine and volume. A few drops on the scalp activate the hair fiber and enrich the skin of the scalp.

Yssé

Biovie is very proud of this new collaboration with Yssé. It is a small Breton oil mill that mainly sources from local supply chains and presses its organic seeds on a small scale, in an artisanal manner, with mastery of all stages of the process.

Origin of seeds : France and mainly the Greater West.

Yssé interacts with organic sector stakeholders to ensure alignment between crops and needs and works in partnership with groups of organic farmers to fund studies for the relocation of certain crops in Brittany. In terms of traceability, for hemp and flax, Yssé can trace back to the plot number at the organic farmer's location.

🌿 Craftsmanship allows:

- to adjust production according to needs in order to limit inventory

- to adjust the manufacturing parameters according to each seed in order to achieve the best productions without the constraint of production rate

The storage tanks are equipped with a floating lid system (similar to the system used for wine preservation) to limit oxidation during storage.

To ensure the best quality, the oil is packaged very quickly after pressing. The filling is done with nitrogen injection to reduce oxidation during storage in the canister.

The seeds and oils are analyzed by an external laboratory according to a control plan (microbiology, mycotoxin, heavy metals, acidity, fat content, allergens, dioxin, PAH, etc.). The fatty acid profiles (including omega 3 and 6) are conducted on each type of seed according to the control plan. This allows us to confirm the values indicated on the labels.
