🌿 Also known as "sea spaghetti," the sea bean (Himanthalia elongata) is one of the most popular seaweeds. It is harvested during high tides and can reach up to 3 meters in length. With its olive green color, its subtle taste is highly appreciated by many seaweed consumers !

    > Its taste is slightly sweet, with a light marine fragrance, not very iodized. Its beautiful dark green color and texture are reminiscent of terrestrial green beans, hence its name ;) In its form offresh seaweed or dried after rehydration, sea beans are very easy to prepare. They pair very well with soy sauce and will inspire original and refined "crusinary" creations.

    🌿 Its features:

Like all seaweeds, the bean is rich in calcium, magnesium, iodine, sodium, manganese, and omega-3.
The bean has a particularly high content of vitamins A, B6, and C (up to 4 times more vitamin C than an orange!)
It contains fucoxanthin, an antioxidant that is believed to have properties that slow down cancer progression. These fucoidans also have anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties.
It contributes to the detoxification of pollutants and heavy metals.
It contains 3 times more fiber than an apple, 4 times more vitamin C than an orange, and helps lower blood sugar levels.
Like all seaweeds, its high iodine content requires caution for people suffering from hyperthyroidism.
