Sea Salt Bean Algae, available in 1kg or 500g packaging

Add a marine touch to your plate !

🌿 Also called "sea spaghetti", the sea bean Himanthalia elongata) is one of the most popular seaweeds. It is harvested during high tides and can reach up to 3 meters in length. With its olive green color, its subtle taste is highly appreciated by many seaweed consumers !

His The taste is slightly sweet, with a light marine fragrance, not very iodized.. Its beautiful dark green color and texture are reminiscent of terrestrial green beans, hence its name !

Since the seaweed is preserved in salt, it softens more quickly and becomes more brittle after a few months. But we are sure that you won't have to keep it for 6 months !

    Desalination
: Your seaweed is preserved in salt. Take the desired amount of seaweed to consume directly in a salad or in another recipe. Soak them briefly in water for an initial desalting. Rinse, then discard the water. Then let them soak for two to three minutes in a sufficient amount of water. Rinse.
If the seaweed tastes too salty, rinse it a third time.

    🌿 Its features:

Like all seaweeds, the bean is rich in calcium, magnesium, iodine, sodium, manganese, and omega-3.
The bean has a particularly high content of vitamins A, B6, and C (up to 4 times more vitamin C than an orange!)
It contains fucoxanthin, an antioxidant, which has anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties.
It contributes to the detoxification of pollutants and heavy metals.
It contains 3 times more fiber than an apple, 4 times more vitamin C than an orange, and helps lower blood sugar levels.
Like all seaweeds, its high iodine content requires caution for people suffering from hyperthyroidism.

Manual collection on the foreshore – From March to July

    - Conservation : in the refrigerator.

    - Delivery: The shipment of seaweed is carried out on a just-in-time basis, and a few additional days may sometimes be necessary to process your order, depending on the day we are restocked. The seaweed can easily withstand several days of travel without refrigeration, even in high heat, thanks to their packaging in a salt bath.

You will receive an email on the day your package is shipped, followed by your tracking number the next day.

It happens that the seaweed releases a bit of water during transport, despite double zip packaging. This is rare, but if your box arrives wet, it's not a problem. Please accept your package and contact us by email to discuss the situation. In 10 years, we have always found amicable arrangements, but refusing fresh goods means the goods are lost, and we wish to avoid these scenarios.
