HYPERTONIC MARINE PLASMA SPRAY FROM IBIZA

Ultra-filtered seawater at 0.01 micron, in a 100 ml spray bottle - for daily salting and remineralizing

Hypertonic marine plasma spray, it is exactly the same ultra-filtered Ibiza seawater at 0.01 micron as our 0.75 L bottle, but in a 100 ml glass bottle with a spray. Specifically, it's the format I take everywhere: a few sprays directly on the plate to salt a dish while enriching it with minerals and trace elements. Here is the simplest alternative to the classic salt shaker - and it also works very well for external use (nose, skin).

THE POWER OF THE SEA !

Mineralize and alkalize your body with hypertonic marine plasma.
Equivalent to Quinton® hypertonic water in quality and process, this marine plasma contains all minerals and trace elements in an organic and bioavailable form.

This seawater is ultra-filtered and then packaged in a 100 ml glass bottle with a spray, to ensure maximum quality and simplified daily use.

🌊 Seawater contains a large amount of minerals (almost all the elements of the periodic table) but in an inorganic form. To become assimilable by the body, seawater must pass through plankton: a process occurs that transforms inorganic minerals into a bioavailable ionic form, making them assimilable by our body.
Minerals and trace elements are the "fuel" that our body uses for most of its functions, they are necessary for all our cells to function optimally.
The pH of marine plasma is alkaline and ranges between 8.1 and 8.4. It helps the body maintain an ideal pH through thehomeostasis. It is therefore a food of choice for alkaline diets. For more information, visit the "Benefits" tab of this sheet and our blog article on the benefits of Quinton® water.

🌊 How to use the spray ?

    • At the table, as a replacement for salt - This is the flagship use of the spray format. A few sprays directly on the plate, salad, or dish allow you to season while enriching the meal with minerals and trace elements. Add at the end of preparation (seawater loses its properties above 60°C, so it is not cooked).
    • In cooking and lacto-fermentations - Ideal for seasoning vegetable juices, sauces, vegetable pâtés, and for your lacto-fermented vegetables. See our articles: What salt should be used for lacto-fermentation ? and lacto-fermentation with marine plasma.
    • In external application - The spray is perfect for nasal hygiene, misting on the face to tone and remineralize the skin, or for gargling. Check out our article: Marine plasma to enhance and care for your skin ?
    • Nomadic format - Its small 100 ml size fits into a bag: convenient for the office, traveling, or at a restaurant to keep your mineral seasoning handy.

    > Are you looking for a format for a drinking cure or for the whole family? Find the 0.75 L bottle and the large Bag-in-Box formats on our sea water page / marine plasma.

    🌊 Dosage: what quantities ?

Specifically, how do I use it? To salt a dish, a few sprays are enough, to be adjusted according to your taste as you would with a salt shaker. There is no maximum dose set for this common culinary use. For external use (nose, skin), simply spray on the affected area.

For more sustained internal use - as a drinking cure or in diluted isotonic form - the 0.75 L bottle is more suitable than the small spray bottle. Regardless of the format, for any treatment protocol (fatigue, sports remineralization, specific support), consult your naturopath or doctor.

🌊 How to obtain isotonic marine plasma ?

The formula to obtain isotonic marine plasma (= marine plasma with the same concentration as blood plasma) from hypertonic marine plasma Ibiza & Formentera is as follows:
Mix 1/4 hypertonic marine plasma + 3/4 spring water.
    > For example, for 1 L of isotonic plasma = 250 ml of hypertonic solution + 750 ml of spring water

We are like isotonic seawater: our blood plasma contains about 9 g/L of mineral salts, compared to seawater which contains about 36 g/L - the proportions of the different trace elements are similar to those in blood.

We recommend keeping your isotonic water in a bottle in the fridge for only 24 hours.

🌊 How is this seawater collected ?

The company Ibiza & Formentera Agua de Mar was founded by Alfonso and David following health issues that were greatly improved thanks to marine plasma. They pay very close attention to the quality of this seawater and strive to respect the biological and subtle phenomena of the water as much as possible in order to preserve all its trace elements, minerals, and beneficial components intact.

The collection of seawater for ultra-filtered plasma is very rigorous. Before capturing, analyses are conducted using probes to ensure that the water meets the expected parameters, and Alfonso and David even taste a sample directly !
Harvesting takes place in the open sea, far from beaches and densely populated areas, at depths between 15 and 25 meters in zones where the minimum depth ranges from 40 to 100 meters, and where plankton concentration is at its maximum (mainly in the vortices created by the confluence of several ocean currents). No harvesting occurs in the summer when it is too hot... These are some of the very precise parameters they follow for each harvest.
The water is then micro-filtered between 4 and 5 °C (when the density is optimal), followed by ultra-filtration (0.01 micron), and finally left to rest before being bottled.

Very thorough checks are carried out on each batch to ensure water is free from pollutants, hydrocarbons, microplastics, heavy metals, or pathogens.

    > Meet the two founders of Ibiza & Formentera Agua de Mar and see in images how the harvesting process takes place in the video below:

🌊 Where is this seawater collected ?

The islands of Ibiza and Formentera were not chosen by chance for the harvesting of marine plasma. It is important that the water comes from the Mediterranean Sea, as it is the only ecosystem that brings together these advantages:
    - Posidonia seagrass meadows (oxygen production and CO2 capture), listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1999
    - Natura 2000 protected areas and "marine protected areas"
    - very restrictive regulations (products used and traffic)
    - no nuclear pollution

The harvest is mainly carried out on the west coast of the island of Ibiza, which is the area richest in Posidonia seagrass meadows, plankton, and therefore marine life, and where ocean currents keep the seawater perfectly clean.

    > Eric Viard explains in detail the importance of each of these parameters in this video:

    > Also check out our blog post: Marine plasma: Mediterranean or Atlantic ?

🌊 What are the differences between the bottle, the BIB, and Quinton® water ?

The spray contains the same ultra-filtered water as the 0.75 L bottle. Here is a quick comparison of the packaging:

Spray 100 ml & bottle 75 cL (glass)

    • Micro-filtration then ultra-filtration 0.01 micron
    • Cold filtration
    • Harvest at a depth of 25 meters with preliminary tests
    • More than 100 parameters controlled (Quinton® process)

    Bag-in-Box (3 L to 20 L)

    • 0.22 micron micro-filtration
    • Cold filtration
    • Harvest at a depth of 5 meters
    • Usage: cooking, lacto-fermentation, daily in large volume

The René Quinton's method is a registered patent. It uses double filtration under very controlled conditions, and more than 100 parameters are evaluated post-harvest. The Ibiza & Formentera spray and bottle, with their ultra-filtration at 0.01 micron, use this same process. Their final quality is identical, and they can be used in the same way as theQuinton water®.

🌊 What our clients think about it

"This hypertonic marine plasma wonderfully seasons my mixed salads. The spray format is absolutely perfect. I am delighted."
    - Evelyne D.

"A way to benefit from trace elements and replace the salt shaker!"
    - Marie-Bernadette G.

"I really like getting seawater from them, infinitely cheaper than in ampoules!"
    - Vanessa B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The benefits of hypertonic marine plasma

    • Remineralization of the body (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and all trace elements)
    • PH rebalancing towards alkalinity (pH 8.1 to 8.4)
    • Contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system (via zinc, selenium, and associated minerals)
    • Contribute to a normal digestive function
    • Contribute to the maintenance of normal bone structure
    • Help with protect cells against oxidative stress (antioxidant properties of alkalinity)
    • Bioavailable mineral intake in ionic form, directly assimilable

    > Minerals are the "fuel" primarily used by our body., which is necessary for our cells to perform their functions optimally. Hypertonic marine plasma - also known as hypertonic Quinton® water - provides these minerals and trace elements in a bioavailable ionic form, directly assimilable by the body. They are also essential for the absorption of vitamins and are responsible for the enzymatic processes of the cells. The problem today is that our intake of minerals through food has significantly decreased, and what is the reason for this? The answer is very simple: pollution, soil depletion due to intensive agricultural production, and our stressful lifestyle have significantly reduced the quality of food and its mineral content. It is necessary for the cells to perform all their functions with maximum vitality and the precise capacity of organic, bioavailable, and alkaline cellular nutrition. Thus, seawater becomes an excellent mineral drink as it contains all the elements of Mendeleev's periodic table.

    > Another great advantage of seawater is its pH. As Otto Warburg, the father of cellular respiration and double Nobel laureate, used to say, "All diseases are acidic, and where there is oxygen and alkalinity, there can be no disease.". Due to the quality of our raw material, the hyper-oxygenated waters of the Posidonia meadows (recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage in 1999) and ocean currents provide purity and clarity. Ibiza and Formentera Sea Water have an alkaline pH, ranging between 8.1 and 8.4, which helps the body maintain a neutral pH thanks to thehomeostasis. The ingestion of seawater is recommended to contribute to pH balance, as well as a supplement for alkaline diets.

"Marine plasma, recommended by a naturopath, truly supports vitality!"
    - Cécile Bérard ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The antioxidant and anti-acidity power The alkalinity of seawater is due to the minerals it contains.

    > Seawater can help support cellular hydration : In a regular and cyclical manner, the body regenerates all its cells, as their lifespan is limited. As we age, one of the first abilities that cells lose is the capacity to hydrate. It is known that the older we get, the less we drink, so incorporating seawater can help maintain the hydration capacity that we naturally have when we are young. Seawater contains between 35 and 38 grams/liter of dissolved salts. This is why it is so important to have alkaline foods in our diet. If our internal environment becomes acidic, the first thing the body will try to do is to make its pH alkaline - and how does it do this? It primarily relies on its calcium reserves to extinguish this "fire," and this calcium is most easily found by the body in the first available resource: the bones. It is easy to understand that this mechanism leads to weaknesses.
By ingesting seawater as part of a balanced diet, we can help maintain our pH, support normal bone structure, and ensure normal digestive function. Various universities are currently studying the nutritional benefits of seawater, such as the University of Malaga, La Laguna (Tenerife), Antioquia (Colombia), and Nouakchott (Mauritania). Common characteristics between blood and seawater include homeostasis (self-regulation of properties) and the specific and similar presence oftrace elements (indispensable chemical elements).

    > To better understand these phenomena and learn more, watch this video by Eric Viard:

In cooking, seawater enhances and improves the taste of many foods without masking their authentic flavor. Cooking with seawater provides minerals and trace elements in a healthy and natural way, making it an excellent substitute for ordinary salt (sodium chloride) - this is precisely the preferred use of the spray, with a few spritzes directly on the plate. You can also use it in your lacto-fermented vegetable recipes.

🌊 SEA WATER, A UNIQUE AND INIMITABLE SOURCE OF LIFE

Seawater has such a varied chemical composition that it cannot be artificially synthesized. What does this mean exactly ?
Sea water cannot be manufactured., because it contains many trace elements that make an "industrial" or "domestic" synthesis unconvincing. Such a mixture is simply saltwater that does not contain the specific properties of seawater.
The salt we can buy does not contain all the mineral salts and trace elements already dissolved in seawater. The majority of commercial salt loses, during processing, drying, and refining, a large part of the components found in seawater, leaving only sodium and chlorine. Not to mention the addition of additives by certain brands.
So ordinary salt, even if it comes from the sea, does not resemble seawater at all: it is simply sodium chloride (NaCl).

🌊 THE CONCEPT OF THE INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT

The internal environment of the body and seawater fulfill the same functions, one in relation to cells and the other in relation to the microorganisms of the marine ecosystem. In both cases, it is about maintaining the physical and chemical conditions in accordance with the development of life. Both are therefore mineral environments whose homeostasis and chemical structure result from biological regulation. Furthermore, analysis shows that their respective compositions are similar.

However, composition alone is not enough. The study of living organisms shows that the simple nature of an element does not determine its biological properties, but rather the specific form and structure in which it is present. Biochemistry reveals that the activity of molecules essentially depends on their spatial configuration, to name just one factor whose importance is crucial when studying enzymes, hormones, or nucleic acids.

When we study the chemical structure of seawater, two constants emerge:

    - On one hand, the salts that make up the saline matrix of marine waters have a different solubility product than the same salts dissolved in distilled water. Therefore, the hydration of marine salts is not only due to their specific nature but also owes its particular properties to the transformation of these elements within the ecosystem cycles.

    - On the other hand, the nature of the salts and the way the different elements are present in the saline matrix of marine waters are similar to what is found in the internal environment of the body.

From a nutritional standpoint, it is precisely the specific form of trace elements and mineral salts that interests us, as we seek the action they induce. This is the fundamental hypothesis on which the study of the concept of marine plasma is based, first presented in 1897 by René Quinton: "There is a physiological identity between marine plasma and human plasma.". That is to say, marine plasma has the same ability as human plasma to serve as a mineral support for cellular life.

    > Reminder: What is blood plasma ?

Our blood is composed of red and white blood cells and platelets, all suspended in blood plasma, a liquid that is the true transport medium for all these blood cells. It is composed of 90% water and a multitude of compounds: trace elements and dissolved ions, lipids, proteins, metabolic waste, hormones...

    IBIZA & FORMENTERA SEA WATER

    MARINE PLASMA HARVESTING BY BOAT

Our suppliers in Ibiza collect seawater by boat under the best possible conditions, which align with the recommendations of René Quinton. As far as we know, and unless proven otherwise, only five companies in the world collect this way by boat (the others collect from the shores). Additionally, they use the most advanced technologies for "sensitive" water analysis, being the representatives in Spain of the Masaru Emoto foundation and the only ones in Spain to possess a dark field microscope.
Regarding the process: the water is collected at the right time in the open sea, in an area between 40 and 200 meters deep. The collection takes place between 15 and 25 meters deep, in areas favored for their great stability in mineral composition and rich in biomarine activity (the vortices that concentrate plankton).

    > To learn more, we have created an explanatory video about seawater harvesting and the different processes used to obtain bottled marine plasma and the one obtained in Bag-In-Box.

Following our meeting with our suppliers, we were very surprised by the different existing practices of seawater harvesting around the world. We are looking for the best international suppliers for all our products and we travel worldwide to see how they work. When it does not meet our standards, we impose our own specifications to ensure optimal quality.

According to our information, many European companies are extracting water from ports, beaches, the coast, seawater desalination units, and even saline wells inland.

Our supplier harvests hypertonic marine plasma by boat in areas where plankton activity is at its peak and where seagrass meadows ensure excellent oxygenation. That being said, harvesting in a vortex, which is the icing on the cake, is not guaranteed 100%; it can be partial or even absent when the boat arrives in these very intense marine life areas. The reason is a material one, as vortices are of variable, ephemeral, and random durations, they do not allow for water harvesting over a very significant time and on too large volumes. The arguments you may find here and there about harvesting in vortices from the shoreline (not by boat) deserve thorough examination...

    > Our suppliers also use four methods for analyzing water quality:
    - Water Crystals (Masaru Emoto)
    - Darkfield microscopy
    - Moratherapy (Jean Marie Danze)
    - Bio-Well technology (Korotov)

Here is a very simple question to ask your usual marine plasma supplier to get a clearer understanding:

"How and under what conditions is seawater collected at your location, do you have photos or videos of your boats and your harvests?"

The harvesting of the highest quality marine plasma must be done at specific sites where there are high concentrations of plankton (blooms) that spontaneously appear after a few days of good weather without wind and during certain seasons (not in summer, as the water is too warm) in specific locations where favorable ocean currents meet to form mobile vortices (like cyclones).
Vortexes and plankton blooms are natural and ephemeral phenomena that occur in certain places only when specific conditions are met. You have to be in the right place at the right time. A boat seems to me to be the only serious option for being able to collect them in this way.

There is always a lot of information available about the location, transformation of seawater, and its multiple uses from the companies that commercialize it. However, I have never seen a single photo or video of a harvesting boat, and the exact and precise methods of harvesting are very rarely mentioned, even though these are crucial and essential points for me.

As aISTOM engineer and co-founder of Biovie since 2007, these are always the points that interest me first and foremost: a sourcing of the highest possible quality. After more than 33 years of living and eating vegan, I only promote what I personally consume on a daily basis. I personally visit each supplier to verify the harvesting and production conditions. This is the case with Ibiza & Formentera Agua de Mar marine plasma: I went there, met Alfonso and David, and saw the boats.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hypertonic Marine Plasma Spray

What is hypertonic marine plasma spray used for ?

The 100 ml spray is primarily an alternative to the salt shaker: a few sprays directly on the plate, salad, or dish allow you to add salt while providing the minerals and trace elements of seawater. It can also be used externally (nasal hygiene, skin misting, gargling). Its small size makes it a portable product, convenient to carry. It is the same ultra-filtered water at 0.01 micron as our 0.75 L bottle.

How much spray to use ?

To salt a dish, a few sprays according to your taste, just like with a salt shaker, with no maximum dose set for this common culinary use. Add at the end of preparation (sea water should not be cooked, as above 60°C you lose trace elements). For external use, spray on the affected area. For a drinking cure or a diluted isotonic form, the 0.75 L bottle is more suitable than the spray bottle.

Does the spray contain the same water as the bottle and the Bag-in-Box ?

The 100 ml spray and the 0.75 L bottle contain the same water collected at 25 m and ultra-filtered to 0.01 micron (René Quinton process). The Bag-in-Box (3 L to 20 L) contain water collected at 5 m and micro-filtered to 0.22 micron, more intended for large volume cooking. All come from the same supplier, Ibiza & Formentera Agua de Mar.

What are the contraindications of hypertonic marine plasma ?

Hypertonic marine plasma is not recommended in cases of high blood pressure or a salt-free diet. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have hyperthyroidism, or a heart condition, consult your doctor before starting any treatment. People who have undergone an organ transplant should not consume marine plasma without prior medical advice.
