Frozen Klamath algae from Klamath Lake in Oregon, USA

Delivery only in mainland France with Chronopost

Biovie exclusively offers wild Klamath algae in its least processed form possible, freezing.

⛰️ We recommend taking 15ml per day, your bottle will allow you to complete a 1-month course, and you should start feeling the effects of this algae after 3 weeks.

    > Operating procedure:

If you receive your vial partially thawed, it does not pose a problem for storage. The manufacturer has reassured us on this specific point. Place it directly in the freezer after taking out the amount needed for a maximum of 5 days of consumption, which is 5 x 15ml = 75ml.

Return the bottle over an empty glass and let it thaw for about an hour to get a maximum of 75 ml, which will allow you to consume your fresh algae for up to 5 days. Put the rest of the bottle back in the freezer and the glass in the refrigerator.

    > For precise dosing, we recommend the 20ml syringe body which allows for easy use of the liquid algae.

⛰️ Watch a video report we made on-site with our supplier to learn more about the harvesting and drying process:

⛰️ The Klamath algae (Aphanizomenon flos aquae or AFA) from the blue-green algae family contains 115 nutrients. It is a superfood currently being researched and is one of the most complete foods known to date.

Klamath algae contains more than 50% plant proteins. These are quality proteins as they contain 8 essential amino acids, 2 semi-essential amino acids, and 10 non-essential amino acids.

⛰️ This algae also contains more than 60 minerals and trace elements in its composition, including among others:

    • Calcium
    • Copper
    • potassium
    • zinc
    • Magnesium
    • iron
    • germanium
    • Selenium.

    It contains vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B6, B8, B12, and K. The AFA gets its color from phycocyanin: a coloring pigment but also a powerful antioxidant.

AFA (Aphanizomenon flos-aquae), being a wild-harvested superfood, can have its nutrient content, particularly phenylethylamine and phycocyanin, fluctuate based on environmental factors. Some harvests may produce AFA with higher concentrations of chlorophyll, carotenoids, or essential fatty acids. For example, AFA with a brighter blue color tends to have higher levels of phycocyanin, while batches with a more brownish hue may have a higher carotenoid content.

These natural variations are influenced by changes in weather, sunlight, water and air temperature, as well as other factors that change daily. This variability is part of the beauty and uniqueness of E3AFA harvested in nature, making each batch slightly different in terms of appearance, smell, taste, and nutritional composition.

E3Live: PEA in 1 tablespoon: up to 1%, Phycocyanin: up to 4% per serving.

We went to the United States, to Oregon, to meet the Klamath producer whom we consider the most serious and the longest established.

Indeed, this algae grows in Upper Klamath Lake where altitude, strong sunlight, and a constant influx of volcanic sediments meet, as several volcanoes from the Pacific Ring of Fire are present nearby, and surface and underground waters circulate between these volcanoes and the lake.

Among other things, not far away is the Crater Lake site, which is the deepest freshwater reserve in the United States, an extraordinary natural site. The Klamath algae (Aphanizomenon flos aquae or AFA) has an exceptional composition due to the environment in which it grows.

We had the chance to witness a full harvest during the year 2016 (there are less than 5 harvests per year). E3LIVE is the only supplier in the world with a complete infrastructure on the lake itself, allowing the application of extremely rigorous sanitary processes, with harvesting boats developed by the company's founders, a mooring pontoon on the lake, transshipment infrastructures, and immediate cooling units on site.

There is a period of 1 to 2 hours between the time the algae are harvested and when they are refrigerated at 2 to 4°C. A biologist is present on board the harvesting barges, and algae samples are taken every 15 minutes to visually check for the absence of other algae and ensure the quality of the harvest on this lake at the time of harvesting (including Microcystis, whose absence is later confirmed by analyses).
