Organic Unshelled Sunflower Seeds for Sprouting
🌱 Sunflower originated in North America, where it was already cultivated by native peoples.
Soaking: The hull of the sunflower seed is particularly thick, so it is best to soak the seeds for 24 hours before sprouting them. Additionally, this seed is sensitive to photoperiod and only germinates properly from mid-February to mid-November in our latitudes.
> Germination: The young sunflower sprout is the seed with the most spectacular success with the Easygreen Light or the Easygreen Sol. In classic germination, it is a delicate seed to traditionally grow as a young sprout and in dense sowing.
The Easygreen Light and the Easygreen Sol offer optimal humidity and aeration conditions to successfully sprout unshelled sunflower seeds. They will provide you with delicious sprouts in 8 to 11 days depending on the temperature.
🌱 Some people only grow this sprout in large trays. For this, prefer a growing substrate like potting soil: this will allow you to take the trays out of the sprouter from the 10th day. At this stage, the seeds are much less sensitive, and you can leave the tray out of the sprouter to start a new tray.
