Questions & answers

All about Sprouter.

The questions we get asked most often, and our straight answers.

๐Ÿ€ How was our brand Easygreen born? What types of sprouters do we offer you?

Easygreen is a brand created in 1996 with over 25 years of expertise and it has been sold for 20 years in 32 countries around the world, including a scientific base located in Antarctica. The Easygreen Light was invented 30 years ago and improved by its American inventor, Sol Azulay, who had the genius to draw inspiration from his observation of nature to create a device that waters seeds with vortex-energized water.

The Easygreen Light is the reason for the creation of Biovie in 2007, and it is with emotion that we acquired the American company in 2020, simultaneously taking over a second automatic sprouter project created by Sol.

Thus, on our online store, we offer you:

๐ŸŒฑ On the one hand, the Easygreen Light, which is probably the best automatic sprouter in the world. By purchasing this device, you make an important gesture to improve the quality of your daily diet, consuming foods produced in your own kitchen, with unmatched freshness and vitality.

> This automatic sprouter has indeed been designed to minimize the effort and attention required to produce high-quality sprouted seeds and young shoots directly at home.

๐ŸŒฑ On the other hand, the Easygreen Sol, an innovation in low tech, made from bio-sourced materials, is designed to facilitate access to healthy and regenerative food directly from everyone's kitchen. This sprouter, which allows everyone to easily grow sprouted seeds, is an entirely conceived and manufactured in Nรฎmes.

> Thanks to our crowdfunding campaign successfully completed at the end of August 2023, which represented our biggest project since the creation of Biovie, we are very happy and proud to offer you this device.

> It is also the culmination of the entire career and vision of Sol Azulay, American inventor of the Easygreen Light, with whom we worked together for 5 years on both sides of the Atlantic on refined and recalibrated prototypes until we reached the version we present to you today.

> This low tech device, which operates without electricity, allows everyone to easily grow sprouted seeds at home, these superfoods rich in vitamins, enzymes, phytonutrients, and antioxidants.

The Easygreen Sol sprouter uses the physical principle of the siphon effect to automatically water the seeds every 4 to 5 hours for 3 to 4 days, without any human intervention and without needing to add water thanks to its 5-liter reservoir.

> It is also a gem of simple and ecological technology, lightweight and entirely made from bio-sourced materials with the help of the French company FuturaMat, and MERIDIES Plasturgie, which was awarded the Ecovadis silver medal, recognizing their commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility. And who took on the challenge of manufacturing our sprouter in a new plant-based biopolymer that was unknown to them!

๐Ÿ€ How does an automatic sprouter work?

An automatic sprouter, unlike a traditional sprouter, will take care of the manual maintenance steps of the seeds until their harvest. Pre-soaking the seeds and daily rinsing are not necessary. And the sprouter will also allow regular watering of the sprouting seeds during their growth thanks to different technologies.

> The Easygreen Light sprouter uses the misting principle, the Easygreen Sol sprouter uses the principle of gravity rain and siphon effect. The result is that the seeds benefit from watering several times a day and can then grow in good conditions.

๐Ÿ€ What are the advantages of an automatic sprouter? Why is its use more convenient than a manual sprouter?

An automatic sprouter, whether electric like the Easygreen Light, or autonomous (non-electric) like the Easygreen Sol, allows you to successfully produce sprouted seeds at home by facilitating the soaking, rinsing, and watering phases.

An automatic sprouter works with all types of seeds like alfalfa, fenugreek, clover, mung beans, radishes, broccoli, cabbage... and even mucilaginous seeds.

No more soaking seeds, no more watering, monitoring is reduced to a minimum!

๐Ÿ€ What are the differences between our 2 sprouters? Which one should you choose to buy?

๐ŸŒฑ The choice of an automatic sprouter will depend on your budget and the space you have available.

- the Easygreen Light sprouter has been sold for 27 years in 32 countries and allows for optimal watering of sprouting seeds. However, it takes up a certain amount of space and may not be suitable for small kitchens.

- the Easygreen Sol sprouter, resulting from 5 years of research we conducted, is 100% local, made in Nรฎmes in the Gard, and the only sprouter made of a recyclable biomaterial, without a drop of petroleum. It is more affordable and allows for sprouting a smaller quantity of seeds. It takes up less space and is very suitable for nomads.

๐ŸŒฑ The 2 sprouters from the Easygreen brand have different uses, with the same goal: to make it easier for you to produce sprouted seeds at home (all varieties of seeds work: small seeds, larger seeds, grass culture, mucilage seeds, young green shoots).

Here is a summary of the main differences:

> The germination surface is twice as large for the Easygreen Light compared to the Easygreen Sol. When used to their maximum capacity, we recommend the Light sprouter for higher consumption (a family, for example) and the Sol sprouter for more occasional use, such as for a single person or a couple.

> With the Easygreen Light sprouter, you have direct access to the seeds and easier handling thanks to the trays. With the Easygreen Sol, there is no direct access to the sprouted seeds; you will first need to remove the water tank.
