Its white to yellow flesh can be eaten like a fruit, either raw or cooked, while its large seeds can be roasted or boiled (like chestnuts). When it is still young, its flesh is also used as a replacement for meat in savory dishes.

This technique, which appeared in France at the beginning of the 20th century, dries food through sublimation: the product is first frozen, then its water is evaporated under vacuum. Thus, the water goes directly from a solid to a gaseous state without passing through the liquid state! Because there is no heat involved, freeze-drying preserves the volume, appearance, and most of the nutrients of the food.

Jackfruit has a unique taste, often described as a mix of banana and mango, with floral notes. When freeze-dried, this taste becomes more concentrated and the texture turns crunchy. It is an exotic and fruity snack, with no added sugar.
No. Our freeze-dried jackfruit is made of 100% jackfruit, with no added sugar or additives. The 50g of sugars per 100g are solely the naturally occurring sugars in the fruit, concentrated by the removal of water.
The jackfruit is the largest fruit in the world that grows on a tree: it can reach 40 kg. Belonging to the Moraceae family (like the mulberry), its flesh can be eaten as a fruit, either raw or cooked, and when young, it even serves as a plant-based substitute for meat (shredded like "pulled pork"). Its taste is reminiscent of banana and mango.
You can snack on it as is, add it to muesli, granola, or a fruit salad, incorporate it into a smoothie, or include it in your homemade kefir or kombucha recipes and drinks. Since its flavor is concentrated, a small amount is enough. Rehydrated for a few minutes, it regains a softer texture.
Keep the bag at room temperature, away from light and heat. The 200 g format is resealable: make sure to close it properly after opening to preserve the crunchiness, as freeze-dried fruit easily absorbs moisture from the air.
