All about Barley grass.

The questions we get asked most often, and our straight answers.

🌱 What are the differences between barley grass powder and barley grass juice powder?

🌿 The barley powder and the powder from barley juice may seem similar, but they have significant differences in terms of nutritional values and processing methods:

> Barley grass comes directly from young, dehydrated, and ground shoots, while barley juice is obtained from the juice of these shoots, which is dehydrated at a low temperature. The difference lies in the nutrient concentration and the absence of cellulose in the dehydrated juice.

> The powder from barley juice is somewhat more expensive than barley powder. This is because the powder from barley juice is obtained after pressing, filtering, and drying through spray drying at less than 42°C. The juice is therefore much more concentrated than pure barley grass and contains almost no fiber (8g/100g compared to 55g/100g for barley grass).

> Since the powder from barley juice is free of cellulose, it contains a greater amount of vitamins (Vitamin B2, Vitamin B9, and Vitamin B12), minerals, trace elements, and antioxidants than barley powder.

> The barley powder is ideal for maintenance, a cure during seasonal changes, or for weight loss (the fibers contribute to satiety and lowering blood sugar levels).

> The barley juice is more useful as a therapeutic accompaniment, for a detox cure, or during fasting.

> In both cases, a dosage of one tablespoon per day is recommended (always consult your healthcare practitioner in case of illness).

🌱 What is the difference between barley grass and wheatgrass?

🌿 Despite the high nutrient content of wheat and the very good results that Ann Wigmore achieved with wheatgrass juice at her Hippocrates Health Institute, some clarifications are still necessary:

> The juice of wheatgrass produces a drink with a very sweet taste, which is not suitable for everyone, both in terms of taste and biochemically. In the case of candidiasis, the mycosis is nourished by sweet and mild foods, which also includes the sweet wheatgrass.

> The slightly bitter taste of the juice from barley grass, especially when mixed with carrot juice, is better suited for many people.

> The Japanese researcher Dr. Yoshihide Hagiwara discovered after long laboratory work that among 200 different analyzed plants, the barley grass juice provides larger amounts of active ingredients: vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes, and strong antioxidants.

> In the germination state, barley no longer contains gluten. Wheat and corn are the two grains that have been most altered by humans in the last two centuries and are therefore not suitable for everyone.
