Where do our seeds come from?

Our seeds to germinate come from the center of Italy, from the region of Perugia. Our supplier Géo Bavicchi has been producing quality seeds to germinate since 1896.Géo Bavicchi has been a family business for 3 generations specialized in quality seeds to germinate. All seed lots, organic of course, undergo germination tests before being marketed, the germination rate of samples must be greater than 95% for the lot to be referenced. The center of Italy is the European cradle of seeds and seeds to germinate, climate conditions are ideal for their production.You will find on our Youtube channel a visit to the facilities of Géo Bavicchi, where we went in July 2022.

What are the best seeds to sprout for your health?

Each seed has very specific properties, and you will find on each of our sheets products the particularities of each seed we sell. However, we can quote 4 remarkable seeds:

  • the germinated seeds of brocoli are those that have been the object of the most research at the international level, the sulphorapahane they contain have been studied extensively. They are recognized in their role in cancer prevention, as well as in the prevention of strokes, they also have benefits for mental health. Find a specific article on the subject here.
  • the seeds of fenugreek germinated are exceptional to very many titles (anabolizing, improving the assimilation of nutrients and especially protein, anti-inflammatory and digestive tonic, helping to regulate type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular protector) as you can read here in the benefits section, they are very economical and easy to succeed in sprouted seeds or young shoots
  • young shoots of sunflower and sunflower seeds are excellent for heart health, to improve brain function and to strengthen the immune system, they are also nutritionally interesting with a high protein rate
  • the sprouted alfalfa seeds / alfafa are excellent for bone health, digestion and cardiovascular health. These are the most common and economical seeds, very easy to germinate, along with the fenugrec
Which seeds germinate the fastest?

All the seeds of the radish family are certainly the seeds that germinate the fastest in 2 days, the germ already points to the tip of its nose. Quinoa also germinates very quickly.Just behind come the fenugrec and the alfalfa / alfafa.

☘️ What is the best wheat to use for making wheatgrass juice?

🌱 We work closely with our Italian supplier Géo Bavicchi to offer you a special wheat for sprouting Timilia, which is rustic and old and does not have any bitterness when pressed, but rather a pleasant taste. We are the only ones on the market offering this delicacy, allowing you to consume wheatgrass that is not unpleasant in taste.

🌱 You can grow your wheatgrass in our Easygreen brand sprouting devices, if you wish, also with potting soil.

How to germinate seeds for sure?

Several factors make it possible to successfully germinate seeds, the first two being the most important:

  • the use of seed from suppliers testing their seeds for their germination capabilities, like our Italian supplier Géo Bavicchi, who are the only ones to our knowledge to perform such tests because they are specialized in seeds to germinate, it is their core business, they export to more than 40 countries worldwide
  • Use of a manual or electric automatic srpouter of the brand Easygreen which recreates the ideal conditions for the growth of the seeds, both at the hygrometry level and at the oxygen renewal level in the germination compartment
  • allow seeds to breathe avoiding closed clusters where the air does not pass
  • allow heat release during germination
  • germinate mucilaginous seeds (muchard, basil, rocket....) on a suitable substrate or without substrate, mixing them at maximum height of 15% with non-mucilaginous seeds
