Have you tried spirulina powder but its taste is really not for you? Do you want to incorporate it more easily into your diet? We have the solution !
Fresh spirulina, produced in the north of France, is a culinary revolution. Cultivated and harvested with the utmost care, this microalgae is gently pressed to remove excess water, concentrating the spirulina in its purest form.
Weighed and then cut into blocks in strict compliance with sanitary standards and the cold chain. You get a smooth and creamy block (which resembles tofu a bit), that you can easily cut with a knife, spread, or mix with your sweet or savory preparations.
Its taste is neutral, which allows it to be incorporated into your everyday meals.
> Jamy explains everything to you in his report at Xavier's, our producer:
🟩What are the differences with other spirulinas?
We were won over by the ease of use, the smooth texture, and truly surprised by its neutral taste: spirulina acts as a flavor enhancer, bringing an "umami" taste to your dishes but with a very mild, imperceptible flavor of its own. It is ideal for adding a beautiful green color to both your savory and sweet dishes while providing all the benefits of spirulina without altering the taste. On the contrary, your cooking will be enhanced.
As it has not undergone any dehydration, has not been compressed into tablets, or transformed into capsules through some unknown industrial process, it is much richer in minerals, vitamins, and especially retains all its enzymes for maximum effectiveness. Fresh spirulina is a high-quality superfood that surpasses many other foods in terms of the quantity and availability of essential nutrients for the body.
🟩 How to use it?
> Cooked with olive oil or honey (natural preservatives), you can keep it in the fridge for up to 15-20 days.
Add creaminess to your morning spreads or tapenade toasts for appetizers, enhance the green of your guacamoles, boost your vinaigrettes with this superfood, create original dessert creams, an astonishing tiramisu...
> We advise you to always pair it with a food rich in vitamin C (citrus fruits, lemon) to facilitate the absorption of nutrients (especially iron) by the body.
> Do not heat spirulina to benefit from its nutritional properties.
> In treatment: you can simply take a spoonful every morning. The recommended intake is 20g of fresh spirulina per day, which equals 20 servings per block.
🟩 The Benefits of Consuming Fresh Spirulina
Isn't consuming spirulina as a complete food or condiment in your daily meals more stimulating than taking capsules? Fresh spirulina is gradually becoming more popular, moving out of our pharmacies to reclaim its noble pure form in our kitchens. In addition to its very pleasant texture and umami quality, its main advantage lies in its nutritional richness and the bioavailability of its trace elements. Unprocessed, it retains all of its enzymatic activity, much like an apple that you bite into after picking it from the tree, that's when it's at its best !
It contains an average of 5695 mg of phycocyanins per 100g of fresh spirulina. Phycocyanin is a blue pigment known for its strong antioxidant properties.
Some official allegations:
- Helps support the immune system,
- Helps you feel more energetic,
- Source of antioxidants that helps the body protect itself from the consequences of oxidative stress,
- Help in case of fatigue
Of course, as part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Spirulina is now well-known for its effects on our body at various levels. Consuming it fresh is a way to obtain its nutrients in a much more assimilable and purer form !
> Rich in iron : it's not enough for it to contain iron, it also needs to be absorbable by the body! Its bioavailability is quite remarkable because spirulina is covered with a polysaccharide-type envelope rather than a cellulosic one. In plants, this cellulosic envelope contains phytates, which can trap iron and reduce its absorption by our body. This is not the case with spirulina.
The bioavailability of iron from spirulina is comparable to that of iron provided by meat. It does not contain substances that inhibit its absorption.
Finally, in addition to being well absorbed, the iron provided by spirulina is not harsh on the digestive system.
> Full of vitamins and minerals : andIt is distinguished by its high content of minerals and trace elements (iron, zinc, selenium) as well as vitamins (A, B, D, E). It contains 60 to 70% amino acids, which is three times more than lean meat! It is also rich in copper, zinc, and magnesium, which boost immunity and improve the body's resistance and endurance. A true anti-fatigue weapon.
> Antioxidant : the antioxidants it contains in large quantities (its blue pigment phycocyanin, from ssuperoxide dismutase (and primarily beta-carotene) strengthen hemoglobin. Numerous studies have proven that white blood cells (T lymphocytes, macrophages, B cells) are significantly increased by the intake of spirulina! Spirulina thus provides a powerful boost to the immune system and truly helps eliminate free radicals.
Its antioxidant power is actually much greater in its fresh form compared to the dehydrated version.
> Detoxifying Rich in chlorophyll, which is an excellent detoxifier, particularly for the liver, spirulina improves digestion and regulates the bacterial flora. It has the ability to absorb heavy metals, which is why it is important to know its source to ensure it is not already completely loaded with pollutants before entering your body.
> Good for everyone : iNutritional intensity, immune system strengthening, contributor to vitality and energy, support for eye health, and cardiovascular function; spirulina should be part of everyone's daily diet, including seniors!
Spirulina also promotes weight loss and helps lower blood sugar levels: a valuable aid for diabetics.
Finally, it is an undeniable ally for athletes: improvement of oxygenation thanks to iron (which helps in the production of red blood cells that transport oxygen ) ; better muscle recovery due to its protein content; spirulina contains essential fatty acids, pigments, and enzymes, which help eliminate free radicals and oxidative stress released during intense effort, thus preventing inflammation; promotes muscle mass gain ...
> In cosmetics : its content of vitamin E, zinc, and selenium allows it to combat oxidative stress, with visible effects on facial radiance and skin regeneration, as well as on hair regrowth and the strength of hair and nails. It stimulates hair growth and strengthens it, especially thanks to essential fatty acids and beta-carotene, in addition to all the minerals and vitamins it provides.
To make the most of its benefits, you can incorporate it into both your diet and your external care.

This cyanobacterium also has benefits for the planet, as it performs photosynthesis. Indeed, it captures CO2 from the atmosphere and releases oxygen. Each kilogram of spirulina requires nearly two kilograms of CO2! A great way to help decarbonize our environment ;)
