Easygreen Sol: the solution for adding more
sprouted seeds to your daily life

The long-awaited innovation: the autonomous sprouter, silent, low-tech, eco-friendly and portable, that grows your sprouted seeds for you.

Have you already tried, or thought about, sprouting seeds at home, but without success? Rest assured, the usual obstacles are very common:
- difficulty changing your eating habits
- lack of time or discipline to manage a sprouter regularly (forgotten rinses...)
- a personal schedule that seems incompatible (absences during the week, travel...)
- gnats or mould... leading you to give up on sprouted seeds.

The Easygreen Sol solves all these problems in no time! An autonomous sprouter that takes care of watering regularly, letting your seeds breathe and making them grow wherever you are. Here is a short 1 min 43 s report made by FR3 Pays Gardois:

🌱 Advantages of the Easygreen Sol

✓ 4 to 5 days of autonomy with 5 L of water. Go away for the weekend and come back to fresh sprouts.
✓ Low-tech: the timer works thanks to cleverly used physical principles. No energy needed.
✓ Eco-friendly: bio-based, recyclable material (via the standard recycling bin).
✓ Lightweight, can be taken apart and transported, to be used anywhere.
✓ No more soaking seeds, no more watering, supervision is kept to a minimum.
✓ Versatile: it can sprout a wide range of seeds, including mucilaginous seeds, wheatgrass, barley grass and microgreens.
✓ Ultra-local: eat what you grow in your own kitchen. Develop your food self-sufficiency.
✓ Local: 100% French, made in Nîmes in the Gard.

🌱 How it works

The Easygreen Sol sprouter is the result of 5 years of research and uses several physical principles, including the siphon effect.
Under the 5 L reservoir there is a small reservoir that fills slowly, in about 4 to 5 hours. Once this reservoir is full, gravity lets it empty all at once in 5 seconds into the centre of the distribution tray. The water is then spread evenly across the tray through all the holes, and a shower falls onto the sprouting seeds placed below.

The many openings in the chamber allow the seeds to breathe and let light through for healthy development of the shoots.
The rinsing and watering water is directed to the drainage tray and drains away through the supplied hose.
The animation below explains everything:

🌱 Use and operation

It is very simple to use, there are just a few tips to know: they are all explained in detail in the manual supplied with the sprouter.

1. Spread the seeds in a thin layer on the germination tray. The supplied strips let you create 4 compartments on this tray. The compartments can be filled on different days for a continuous production of sprouted seeds.

2. Fill the reservoir with clean, filtered water. Water quality really matters for optimal sprout growth.

3. Choose the timer: cap 1 for normal operation, cap 7 for slower operation (less frequent watering). The whole secret of the sprouter lies in this small cap, which lets through the exact amount of water needed for regular watering over several days.

4. Close the lid.

And come back in 3 days to harvest your precious little sprouts!

Good to know: you will need a container to collect the drained water. It must be placed at least 40 cm below the autonomous sprouter.
A 3rd cap is supplied to stop the system completely.
We recommend using eco-friendly coffee filters as a growing medium for optimal growth (the filters retain moisture).

🌱 Owning an Easygreen

Easygreen is a brand created in 1996  with more than 25 years of expertise. Built on unrivalled experience in sprouting and the ingenuity of Sol Azulay, the engineer behind these innovations and a friend of Eric Viard, it was only natural that Biovie took over Easygreen's business when Sol retired and became the sole manufacturer of Easygreen sprouters.

By buying the Easygreen, you take an important step towards improving the quality of your everyday diet: you will eat food grown in your own kitchen, with unrivalled freshness and vitality.
Sprouted seeds contain many nutrients and very interesting substances such as polyphenols, studied for their antioxidant properties. For example, broccoli sprouts contain 100 times more sulforaphane than broccoli!

For regular sprout eaters, it is also a real saving! With small punnets costing from €2.50 to €5 in the chilled section of organic shops, the bill can add up quickly. By buying your packets of dry seeds, you save up to 10 times your weekly spending.

With an autonomous sprouter that runs on its own, you will have a fun, abundant and economical source of organic superfoods at home every day.

🌱 Comparison with conventional sprouters

Are you used to plastic tray sprouters, terracotta ones or glass jars? The Easygreen Sol revolutionises the sprouter market with its ease of use and 3 to 4 days of autonomy.
Its main advantage: no pre-soaking of seeds, no daily rinsing. (Except for large seeds, larger than a mung bean, which need to be soaked beforehand)

In addition, its eco-friendly design gives it a very low environmental impact, and its recyclable material ensures a zero-waste end of life.

🌱 Comparison Easygreen Sol VS Easygreen Light:

So is the Easygreen Light now old hat? Not at all! The 2 sprouters of the Easygreen brand have different uses with the same goal: making it easier for you to grow sprouted seeds at home. Here is a summary of the main differences:

comparison of easygreen light and sol

A few additional notes:
The germination surface is 2 times larger on the LIGHT sprouter than on the SOL. When used at full capacity, we therefore recommend the Light for higher consumption (a family, for example) and the Sol for more occasional consumption, a single person or a couple, for example.

Substrate: it is not necessary in either sprouter (except for mucilaginous seeds). However, a coffee filter is recommended as a substrate for optimal germination in the Sol sprouter.

With the Easygreen Light, you have direct access to the seeds and easier handling thanks to the trays. With the Easygreen Sol, there is no direct access to the sprouted seeds: you first have to remove the water reservoir.

Finally, the Sol is the only sprouter made from a recyclable biomaterial, without a single drop of petroleum.

Germination chamber only.

Focus on the biomaterial:

Invented and created in France by the company Futuramat, the biomaterial the Easygreen Sol is made from combines plant & mineral:
made of plant-based biopolymers (including wood, which gives it its colour) combined with mineral fillers (simple chalk) without any petrochemical resources, these compounds are very rigid while offering a distinctive, high-quality feel.
> Food-contact grade.
