Set of 6 Olive Wood Bowls

To use olive wood bowls is a real touch-sensitive, visual and hearing pleasure in everyday life.

These bowls in olive wood are the result of an artisanal work commissioned by Biovie for several months. They can be used to bring watery preparations, soups or food to the table. Or they can be decorative to keep almonds, hazelnuts, dry fruits or fruit within easy reach in a beautiful kitchen container.

Size: the diameter of the largest bowls measures 15 cm.

Here is our story in Tunisia, where we manufacture our plates and our salad bowls made of olive wood. This work is the result of many improvements realized in collaboration with this small family workshop, which has made us benefit from its expertise over several generations.

Tunisia is the country where there is the most olive trees planted in the world (80 million trees!) and the wood from the trees that are too old to produce olives are replaced by younger trees. If it is not used for such items, it is sold to be transformed into coal!

Maintenance: oil regularly with grape seed oil or another clear oil, and/or neutral taste. Do not expose in a extended manner to the sun, do not wash in the dishwasher, and use lukewarm water instead of hot water. Cracks or rough edges can appear and disappear from time to time, the wood is alive! If a lasting crack appears with usage (which is very rare because the plates have dried for several months before being sold), fill with wood filler, let dry and sand lightly.
