Easygreen Sol — Autonomous sprouting seed germinator,
    low-tech and 100% French

The autonomous sprouting seed germinator you were waiting for

The long-awaited innovation: the autonomous, silent, low-tech, eco-friendly, portable sprouter that grows your sprouted seeds in your place.

Have you ever tried or thought about sprouting your seeds at home, but without success? Does growing sprouted seeds seem out of reach for you? Has the terracotta sprouter discouraged you? Rest assured, the constraints of the classic sprouter are very common:
    - difficulties in changing eating habits,
    - lack of time or discipline to regularly manage a sprouter (forgetting to rinse, etc.),
    - personal organization a priori incompatible (absences during the week, travel...),
    - presence of gnats or mold... leading to the abandonment of sprouted seeds.

Compared to traditional sprouters, the Easygreen Sol solves all these problems in no time! An autonomous sprouter (we reserve the term "automatic sprouter" for its big brother: The Easygreen Light !) which takes care of regularly watering all types of seeds, and allows your seeds to breathe and grow wherever you are.

Here is a Short report produced by FR3 Pays Gardois :

As well as a passage in France 3 Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur :

The advantages of the Easygreen sprouter for sprouted seeds

✓ Autonomy of 3 to 4 days with 5 liters of water. Go away for the weekend and find your sprouted and fresh seeds upon your return.
✓ Low-tech: the timer works using ingeniously applied physical principles. No energy required.
Ecological: bio-based and recyclable material (via the standard recycling bin), better than a plastic sprouter !
✓ Light, detachable, and portable, To use anywhere.
No more soaking seeds, no more watering, monitoring is reduced to a minimum.
✓ Versatile: it can germinate a large number of types of seeds, including the mucilaginous seeds, , wheatgrass, , barley grass and the young shoots.
✓ Ultra-local: consume what you produce in your kitchen. Develop your food autonomy.
Local: 100% French, made in Nîmes in the Gard.

How does the Easygreen Sol sprouter work ?

The Easygreen Sol sprouter is the result of 5 years of research and uses various physical principles, including the siphon effect.
Under the 5-liter tank, there is a small reservoir that fills slowly, in about 4 to 5 hours. Once this reservoir is full, gravity allows it to flow all at once in 5 seconds to the center of the distribution tray. The water is then evenly distributed across the tray through all the openings, and a rain falls on the sprouted seeds placed below.

The multiple perforated openings of the enclosure allow for the ventilation of the seeds and the passage of light for the proper development of the sprouts.
The rinse and watering water is directed to the drainage tray and is discharged through the provided hose.

This video explains everything to you. :

Instructions: Use the sprouter for sprouting seeds in 4 steps

Its use is very simple, there are only a few tips to know: they are all explained in detail in the manual provided with the sprouter.

    1. Spread the seeds in a thin layer on the germination tray. The provided strips allow for the creation of 4 compartments on this tray. The compartments can be filled on different days for a continuous production of sprouted seeds.

    2. Fill the tank with clear and filtered water. If you wish to add nutrient solutions, we simply recommend a small amount. sea water for an optimized supply of minerals and trace elements. The quality of the water is crucial for the optimal growth of seeds.

    3. Choose the timer: cap 1 for normal operation, cap 7 for slower operation (more spaced-out watering). The entire secret of the sprouter lies in this small cap that allows the exact amount of water needed to pass through, enabling regular watering over several days with consistent daily cycles.

    4. Close the lid. The ventilation of the seeds and the proper frequency of watering are ensured by your sprouter !

And come back in 3 days to harvest your precious little sprouts !

    To know

You will need a container to collect the drained water. It should be placed at least 40 cm below the autonomous sprouter.
A third stopper is provided to completely shut down the system.
The number on the caps is engraved on them (in relief), you can color it in black for better visibility.
We recommend using eco-friendly coffee filters as a growth medium for optimal growth (the filters will retain moisture).

Eric Viard, co-founder of Biovie, tropical agronomist engineer and pioneer of raw food in France since 1993, presents the Easygreen Sol.

Easygreen: 30 years of germination expertise — made in France

Easygreen is a brand created in 1996 with over 25 years of expertise. Based on unparalleled experience in germination and the ingenuity of Sol Azulay, the engineer behind these innovations and a friend of Eric Viard, it was only natural that Biovie took over Easygreen's operations upon Sol's retirement and became the sole manufacturer of Easygreen sprouters.
By purchasing this sprouter, you are making an important step towards improving the quality of your daily diet: you will consume foods produced in your own kitchen, with unmatched freshness and vitality.

    > The sprouted seeds contain numerous nutrients and very interesting substances such as polyphenols, powerful antioxidants that help protect cells against oxidative stress.
For example, the broccoli sprout contains 10 to 100 times more sulforaphane than mature broccoli (Source: Fahey et al., PNAS 1997) ! !

For regular consumers of sprouted seeds, it's also quite a savings! With small trays ranging from €2.50 to €5 in the fresh sections of organic stores, the bill can quickly add up. By purchasing your own packets of dry seeds to sprout, you can save up to 10 times the weekly amount of your consumption.

With a self-sufficient sprouter that will operate on its own, you will have a fun, abundant, and economical source of superfoods at home every day.

Easygreen Sol vs traditional sprouters: the comparison

Are you used to seeing plastic tray sprouters, those made of terracotta, or even glass jars? The Easygreen Sol stands out from all these classic sprouters with its ease of use and autonomy of 3 to 4 days.
Its main advantage: no pre-soaking of seeds, no daily rinsing. (Except for large seeds — larger than a mung bean — which require pre-soaking.)

Moreover, its eco-friendly design allows it to have a very low impact on the environment, and its recyclable material offers a zero-waste end of life.

Easygreen Sol or Easygreen Light: which one to choose ?

And so the Easygreen Light sprouter becomes has been? Not at all! The 2 sprouters from the brand Easygreen have different uses, with the same goal: to make it easier for you to produce sprouted seeds at home (all varieties work: small seeds, more big seeds, , Grass cultivation, , mucilage seeds, , young green shoots). Here is a summary of the main differences:

comparaison easygreen light et sol — germoir graines germées

    Some additional notes:

The germination surface is twice as large for theEasygreen Light compared to the Easygreen Sol. When used to their maximum, We therefore recommend the Light sprouter for larger consumption (a family, for example) and the Sol sprouter for more occasional use, such as for an individual or a couple.

    > On the substrate side and Germination mat : they are not absolutely necessary in the 2 sprouters (except for the mucilaginous seeds). Coffee filters or our Germination mat Cellulose substrates are recommended and perfectly suited for optimal germination in our Easygreen Light.

    > With the Easygreen Light sprouter, you have direct access to the seeds and easy handling thanks to the trays. With the Easygreen Sol, there is no direct access to the sprouted seeds; you will first need to remove the water reservoir.

Finally, the Easygreen Sol is the only sprouter made from a recyclable biomaterial, without a single drop of oil.

    Maintenance and cleaning:

    - The germination tray must be cleaned regularly with clean water and bio detergent.
    - Twice a month, check the nipple openings of the distribution tray and, if necessary, unclog them using a toothpick, a small nail, or a needle after observing it in front of a bright light source.
    - Regularly rinse the water tank with clear water to clean it. Brush it to prevent the formation of limescale deposits.
    - Every month, clean the drain pipe with a brush and hot water.

We do not recommend using the dishwasher at the moment, as we have not yet conducted any tests. However, there are no technical contraindications to its use, and there should be no problem for parts that are not essential to the operation of the sprouter (we do not recommend it for the reservoir and the distribution tray).

    About water:

Growth inhibitors present in seeds are natural defense substances against diseases and insects. These inhibitors are released into the water when the seeds are watered. If you reuse this water, you are watering your seeds with inhibitors. It is important to keep in mind that your sprouted seeds contain 80% water. Therefore, it is important to use quality water. All rinse water used by the Easygreen is completely drained out of the sprouter and is not reused.

    Focus on biomaterial:

Invented and created in France by the company Futuramat, The biomaterial used to make the Easygreen Sol combines plant and mineral elements: composed of plant-based biopolymers combined with mineral fillers (such as simple chalk), these compounds exhibit great rigidity while offering a highly qualitative specific touch.
    > This material is compatible and poses no risk with food contact.
