Naturalizer Japanese filter
For a pure water
Complete Japanese system of filtration and improvement of the water quality imported since 2008 and marketed since more than 30 years in Japan.
Lifespan + 200 000 litres, thanks to a system of exclusive weekly retro-cleaning.
Naturalizer made of stainless steel with a filtration capacity of 200 000 litres. A system adopted by Hippocrates Health Institute in USA and set up in over 30 hospitals and clinics in Japan.
The concept of Kirameki Naturalizer filter was developed in 1980 in Japan by Crystalwater company, which especially drew its inspiration from major discoveries about the properties of different volcanic rocks from the archipelago. At this time, Harusuke Hairu Nato, olympic swimming coach and famous physiologist, sought to provide the best drinking water to his athletes. He is also interested in the vitality of certain populations such as the Hunza, and his researches led him in 1984 to develop a water filter exclusively made up of natural materials to clear the water of undesirable substances it carries by improving significantly its quality with different processes described below.
The Naturalizer has been the subject of scientific and medical studies in Japan and the United States, and the Japanese Ministry of Health came to the conclusion that regular consumption of filtered water by the Naturalizer filter reduces the possible harmful effects of tap water and provides a water in which properties are beneficial to the health as much internally as externally.
The Naturalizer is distributed in Europe by Biovie, which is the only intermediary between the Japanese manufacturer and the customer. This enables us to offer this product at a fair price, without making the customer reliant on the purchases of refills, because the Naturalizer incorporates an exclusive weekly retro-cleaning system, which gives to the device a considerable lifespan.
The filter fits out today with more than thirty hospitals and clinics in Japan in its "community" version of high capacity (see addresses below), and it is even reimbursed by some Japanese health insurance companies when it is prescribed by a doctor.
The Naturalizer was then introduced to the United States in 2000 under the trade name of Wellness where it was initially proposed in its original "long-term" version (200 000 litres of filtration capacity. Then, it was marketed for a few years under a new version, financially more interesting for the seller, not enabling the weekly retro-cleaning of the filter and requiring the regular purchase of replacing refills. The volume of minerals implemented was also greatly reduced on this American model).
The main advantage of this filter lies in its retro-cleaning system which eliminates the need to purchase replacing refills, and Biovie has decided to buy directly from the Japanese manufacturer to offer this model always accurate to the principle of weekly cleaning.
The first reason that led to the importation of this filter is the fact that this filtration system has been adopted by Hippocrates Health Institute (USA) in 2001. The Institute has thereby abandoned its system of filtration and improvement of the water installed for over 20 years, in favour of a system treating the whole of the water used by the center: in drinking-water, for the basins and outpatient care.
Knowing the scientific rigor of Hippocrate Institute and their ongoing research of the best devices and non-invasive techniques for human health since 1956, the adoption of this system by the Institute (which conducted a particular clinical study about the use of filtered water), has been a persuasive case for the importation.
The principle of the Naturalizer water filter is the water circulation through different layers, thus reproducing the natural path of water in nature. This is probably the only water filter on the market to use only natural materials.
Two phases follow: a filtration phase itself and a phase of improvement of the physical and subtle qualities of the water, or dynamization. The majority of the systems only offer the filtering or dynamization, rarely both.
The used rocks are volcanic rocks in which the properties have been officially recognized by the Japanese health bodies in 1990 and 1995 (see more below).
Constituents of the Kirameki Naturalizer filter
The different layers of the Naturalizer filter have been chosen following investigations on the specific characteristics of mountainous and volcanic water sources in different regions of the world.
The filter is composed of six natural different materials arranged in nine layers.
The two Japanese volcanic rocks (Bahukan and Tacho) are igneous rare rocks, which are formed during lava solidification, springing out from a depth of 30 000 meters at a temperature between 1100°C and 2200°C, and which possess specific qualities.
This sand of volcanic origin has been repolished to increase its contact surface and its porosity. Its main function is to serve as a barrier to tiny suspended solid substances, such as particles of rust or sediments, for example. In synergy with coal, it also enables the adsorption of heavy metals, pesticides, PCBs, and MTBE . It also prevents the contamination by parasites and E. coli bacteria, Cryptosporides or Giardia up to a size of 0.5 microns.
This activated carbon was developed from coconut fiber of the highest quality. This coal helps to reduce a very wide spectrum of chemical contaminants from a non detectable level. The coal holds, in particular, chlorine, chloramines, the trihalomethanes (THMs), pesticides, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), organic materials, and the materials filtered in synergy with volcanic sand.
Magnetite is a naturally magnetic rock. In the filter, it is sandwiched between two powerful ceramic magnets. This patented system generates an intense magnetic field (from the order of 4000 Gauss), which cleans the energy structure of the water, removing electro-magnetic features of the contaminants filtered by the two upper layers.
The water is then restructured in the form of micro-clusters, its surperficiel tension decreases, which enables to significantly improve its bioavailability to the cells of the body, and thus its capacity for hydration. This effect also enables the water to carry more of the substances in solution preventing their precipitation (including limestone).
Tachyo volcanic rock
This rock of volcanic origin produces in the presence of water a redox reaction, which removes micro-organisms, prevents the development of bacteria, fungi, algae in the filtered water as well as in the filter itself.
It was officially recognized by the Kitazato University of Health in Tokyo the 15th of December 1990 as possessing "natural disinfectant" properties.
Bakuhan volcanic rock
This rock of volcanic origin contributes to the decrease of the superficial tension of the water, it will stabilize the water to a slightly alkaline value thanks to its buffer effect, increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water. It also enables the adsorption and degradation of undesirable substances and participates to the creation of a water having the properties of a mountain spring water with the addition of minerals in low amounts (silica, potassium, magnesium, calcium).
This rock also has anti bacterial and anti fungal properties, which enable, in synergy with the production of trace minerals, the acquisition of a high-quality water. This rock has been approved on the 15th of October 1995 by the Japanese Ministry of Health as having medicinal properties when used internally and in the form of baths.

Tenko Seki Ceramic / SGES
This new type of ceramic is made from silica and added up to Tenko Seki rock, coming from the Japanese island of Kyushu. This mineral, discovered in 1978, has the property of emitting far-off infra reds in the frequency band of 4 to 14 micron. The contact between water and this mineral leads to the formation of negative hydrogen ions, with a short lifespan, acting as antioxidants in the body when they are absorbed. The Tenko Seiki rock is also made up of many trace minerals, which are released in the water (vanadium, rubidium, zirconium, titanium, magnesium oxide (MgO), alu-minum oxide (Al2O3), oxide of potassium (K2O), dioxide sillicium (SiO2)) as well as rare soils such as erbium, lanthanum, and lutetium.

Masaru Emoto Crystals
The first reference comes from a method of global analysis, close to sensitive crystallization, which is the analysis of frozen water crystals, the fruit of Masaru Emoto’s work. Polluted water to a physical or subtle level show chaotic images, while living dynamized waters show beautiful crystals.
The blurred areas are due to the fact that the crystals grow in three dimensions at their fusion point (transition from the frozen state to the liquid state) and the microscope can only reproduce the two dimensions, the third being visible by varying the depth of the field. The video "messages from water" enables to assist in direct to the formation of such crystals.

Redox potential, PH and chlorine
Analysis result of the Water Institute for Life and Natural Science Co.,Ltd.
This analysis shows that the water traffic in the Naturalizer filter increases the PH-value of 0.49 units and decreases its redox potential of 357 Mv, as the water becomes ionized. The Chlorine is completely neutralized.
Ionized water acts as an anti-oxidant capable of releasing a large amount of electrons, which can bind to free radicals. If there is no available anti-oxidants, the oxidants present in the body are going to seek the electrons missing anywhere, this is what explains that cell membranes are frequently damaged. Ionized water has a high reduction potential, it can therefore give in a large number of electrons and thus neutralize the free radicals.
On a 2004 analysis by the National Non Additive Foods Association, the redox potential goes from 517 mV to 146 mV.
Our Western urban lifestyle is generally acid-forming: stress, processed cooked diet, all forms of pollution are sources of acidification. The blood must be maintained at the constant pH of 7.35 - 7.4. The body has large buffer capacities, the bicarbonates. But this stock is quickly "stolen" in case of acid mass influx. The body must draw on his last reserves. To neutralize the acidity, it subtracts the active minerals in bones, cartilages, hair and teeth. The buffer of ionized water helps our body to combat acidosis.
The disadvantages of chlorine for the health are relatively well documented.
You will find information among other things here on the site of Joseph Orszagh.
The more the superficial tension of the water is low, the more its ability to penetrate to the interior of the cells is easy, and the transportation of nutrients is important. In order to obtain their nutrients, the cells must be in intimate contact with water. The surface membrane of the cells is composed primarily of phospholipid molecules. Because water and fat do not mix, when the superficial tension of the water is too high, the nutrients remain in suspension to the outside of the cells and the cells eliminate their waste with difficulty.
The Naturalizer filter is used at an industrial level in Japan, especially by NEC company, which uses the solubilization properties of this water for various industrial applications.
This company has led a study which showed that the water in the Naturalizer had 2.2 times more capacity than tap water to dissolve the table oil (mixed at 2% with water), shaked with water.

Adjustment to your tap
The filter is accompanied with 6 adapters for installation to a tap:
- 2 adapters for the kitchen faucet with male thread
- 2 adapters for kitchen faucet with female thread
- 2 adapters for the kitchen faucet without threads
Caution : If your kitchen faucet is made up of a mobile and retractable hand shower, you will need to install a classic tap to be able to connect the Naturalizer.
In case of important doubt, it is possible to send you the fittings for audit, without the filter.
Once the filter is installed, you can use your kitchen faucet either with filtered water or water from the network by operating the selection lever.
It is recommended to clean your filter once per week for approximately 3 minutes by letting hot water "cleaning" in position running (the water will go backwards by raising from the base of the filter to the top).
In daily operation, the selector switch (screwed on your kitchen faucet) allows you to choose bet-ween four functions:
2. Tap water ("shower" jet type)
3. Tap water ("shower" jet type)
4. Filtered water (dense jet)
You can thus switch easily from one function to the other. This faucet is the only wear part, and it is possible to buy a new one in after-sales service.
Example: passage from "filtered water" to "clean-up" Drawing of the four existing positions

Regarding the Fukhushima disaster (5), none of the filter constituents comes from this area of Japan. The constituents of the filter have been extracted from the underground well before the disaster and are stored in the warehouse.
1 : The repolished sand comes from the area of Miyazaki
2 : The actived carbon comes from the area of Osaka
3 : The volcanic rocks come from the area of Hokuriku4 : The magnetite comes from the area of Kanagawa
A large number of Japanese have purchased this filter after the disaster in order to filter their drinking water, because the filter also has the ability to retain the particles of radioactive isotopes.
