The sunflower young sprout is the seed with which success is the most spectacular with the Easygreen germinator.
In classic germination, it is a delicate oleaginous seed to grow traditionally in young sprout and dense seedling.
The Easygreen provides optimal conditions of moisture and aeration for the success of the unhulled sunflower growth. The Easygreen will offer you succulent sprouts in 8 to 11 days depending on the temperature. Some people do not cultivate this sprout in large tray.
For the cultivation in large tray, it is better to use a growing substrate such as potting compost, it will enable you to get the trays out of the germinator from the 10th day. At this stage, the seeds are way less sensitive and you can leave the tray out of the germinator to restart a new tray.
The sunflower seed tegument is particularly thick, so it is best to soak the seeds 24 hours before putting them to germinate. In addition, this seed is sensitive to photoperiod and germinates properly from mid-February to mid-November, at our latitudes.
The sunflower sprout has an exceptional content of polyunsaturated fatty acids (22% mono-unsaturated, 66% polyunsaturated, 12% saturated), which makes it so fragile. The sunflower also contains 30% of proteins in form of amino acids (7% Arginine, 2,1% Histidine, 4.4% Lysine, 3.5% Methionine, 4% Phenylalanine, 5.9% Threonine, 1.5% Tryptophan), vitamins (B1, B2, B5, B6, B9, E, as well as the valuable D) and minerals (phosphorus, manganese, copper, iron, etc.).
The sunflower sprout is a highly nutritional, full and well-balanced food.
